okay so it seems to be a fad lately to release new guides so here's another one Razz

this is how to add clothing and hair to your hero with fable explorer

step 1: open fable explorer

step 2: scroll down in the treeview and click the + sign beside CREATURE

step 3: scroll down and double click CREATURE_HERO

step 4: press the + button to open the treeview in the creature entry

step 5: click cdefs then scroll down and open ccreaturedef

step 6: scroll down in that until you see a list of clothing entries (should be villager clothes, apprentice clothes and the young hair haircut)

step 7: now, you can either overwrite the existing ones or add new ones, if you want to add new ones press the add button under 1f18208f and also add to the first (int)unknown this is the number of clothing entries below so if you dont it wont recognise the new entry

step 8: get the id of the clothing or hair you want to give the hero

step 9: stick that id into the newly created entry in the ccreaturedef (if you are just overwriting an existing one then paste that id in instead of on of the other existing ones)

step 10: press apply changes

step 11: save mods and run fable

the new clothing should be in your inventory once you start up fable the next time

Try searching for Fable Explorer.

This only works when the hero is spawned the first time during the game. Which is after you killed the beetles in the guildwoods, before you move on to fighting Whisper in training.

You don't get a list of clothing options, you need to type in the number for the clothing you want.

You can look at OBJECTS for reference, I can't remember offhand, but I think clothing is somewhere in between 3300's - 3400's, might be off on that.

i gotta be honest. if you cant get the mods to work. you probably should go shoot yourself. i read one thing. installed the program and then edited the codes. its like reading a sentence. oh, thats right most of you have a hard time with that... poor kids.

while this is very easy, I wouldn't reccomend bashing other members for not getting it, as some people need video tutorials for programs like Microsoft Word

It doesn't bring you back to the CCreatureDef, you never leave it.
What it did was add a blank entry for you to fill out and refresh the CCreatureDef entry.

weapon id?
No. Clothing or hair only. This is for weapons, it's a bit easier and you don't need to start a new game for it.

Note for future reference: After starting a new game, you (probably) won't get your new armor/hair until after guild training (when you get the villager suit).

Perhaps. Even if it doesn't, it won't work. The clothing and hair go to the clothing inventory, and NPCs don't have inventories. And even if they did, I doubt it would work the way you'd like without at least the correct CTCs. And assuming it worked with the correct CTCs, they'd only be able to wear actual clothing items, which is a very limited selection.
