well heres the skinny, i go and export the picnic area file to my documents and switch the apples to the sword of aeons and i import it back what am i doing wrong? the sword of aeons wont show up

Make sure you give the sword a new UID number. If you're playing from a save game the apple will always show because the game has "seen" it before. The sword won't show in the game or save unless it's given a new UID.
