As you can see I removed the double-guard that normal keyblades have. It may need to be scaled a tad. Wink

Here's a template for texturing.
index.php?t=getfile&id=3601&private=0

And some screenshots

I think you'll find he knows about the size issue.

There is nothing in the Void.
There is no point to it's being.
I wish there was a reason.
There is nothing in the Void,
But what we put there.

I only have so many screenshots. Feel free to pm me some that you think are cooler.

As for Keshire. Thats my alternate username that I use on quite a few sites. It originated from an NPC I ran in a Dungeons and Dragons game a long long time ago (approximately 15 years).

in 3ds max, you make the mesh 2 segments, you choose a face and outline it, making say for example, the bottom further than the top, making it look sharp

Well I make sure there's a middle section to the mesh.

____________________(top)
____________________(middle)
____________________(bottom)

I go into vertex select, select all the middle verts, and apply a PUSH modifier. The push modifier lets you push the verts outwards/inwards evenly.

And another edit mesh modifier and tweak anything that doesn't look right.

3 or more. Anything less and you just have a fancy box.

Keshire was opposed to handguards in Fable because sizing them appropriately so that the Hero's hands could fit in them would mean making the weapon itself look stupid, or alternatively making the handguard look stylish but making the Hero's hands clip with them which obscures or completely hides the handguard in the first place so you might as well not put them there to begin with.

And I must say that I agree with him on that.

Don't worry about it, it wasn't a stupid comment and it is not stupid to disagree with others (as long as you have good reasoning). But this is a rather old thread and everything here has been said and done, so I'll go ahead and lock it now.
