Briar Rose Bodyguard [message #27991]

i'm not finished with her yet but she has her own voice as a bodyguard and has a custom brain. she uses her own weapons and everything. to spawn her, use a bodyguard script. script data should say "_Briar" and also OverridingBrainName should be BRAIN_BRIAR_BODYGUARD. i've only tried it as briar_rose_villager but i'm gonna test the other ones as well. any questions, just ask. enjoy!

these work. RIVAL_HERO_BRIAR_ROSE_VILLAGER, RIVAL_HERO_BRIAR_ROSE, and RIVAL_HERO_BRIAR_ROSE_BOSS. the boss one works best, imo. i'll check the last few tomorrow but they should work. the only one i'm not sure about is the clone one.

i'm not making a specific briar rose. i spawned her in a bodyguard script and gave briar her own voice for the majority of the bodyguard's sayings. the fmp includes the text i altered and the custom brain i did. i didn't create a new creature like the whisper one does.

i made her own creature or whatever. spawn her with CREATURE_RIVAL_HERO_BRIAR_ROSE_BODYGUARD. her default brain is the briar_rose_boss. but of course that's only is you don't spawn her with the bodyguard script, lol. added a few new entries and redid a couple of the others. replaced the fmp in the first post with the updated one.

Andymac, how could you create her respawn? Since my Minion Bodyguard never respawn, do you create her automatically respawn. Please tell me how. And do you create a new marker named _Briar?

i haven't figured how to make her respawn. that's the main reason it's not finished yet because i only have a few more changes to make to the text entries. use a bodyguard script and the instructions in the first post with the spawn of creature_rival_hero_briar_rose_bodyguard. the _Briar is the voice of her in the text i created in place of the bodyguard text.

I've got an idea on how to respawn. i'll probably try monday, because i'll be watching football all day tomorrow.

my idea of putting her data of _Briar in the respawn marker did not respawn her, so i'm stumped on that and nothing is in the wiki or in the forum to help with that so i'll finish up the text in the next few days.

Sorry for the necropost but to make a bodyguard respawn I think you need to change the UID

No I don't think that's right because I've hired a bodyguard and killed him off and later a new one came in his place.
