i used this before now:

Not to nit pick ... okay so I am, but still. That is not at all what normals do. Normals tell the renderer in what base direction light is to be reflected back. Hence why when the normal is reversed the face is invisible.

UVs control where a texture is on the object (and UVs are usually in the same place as the objects vertices's.

Sorry - I just don't want someone to get confused.

That's just normals. Shocked . I'm thinking of renaming them awesomes Laughing

But yeah that's a normal poly shape (I think at that stage it was about 500 poly's) then you average the normals and viola it looks almost like the model's been smoothed.

It sure is Laughing - see that's why the hero (and every other model) looks all polygon-y when you export the model and look at it but looks all smooth when you play fable (and any other game). Go normals (whoops I mean go awesomes Razz ).
