I have just created a weapon but i cant spawn it.. my game just crashes as soon as i open the chest. iv triple checked the script for any typos but everything seems fine. i also tried placing the weapon on the floor but my game crashes as soon as i go into the map. I think the problem is the weapon.. any ideas?? Confused thx

hmm, make sure it has a valid texture, and that the alpha is set correctly (DXT1= alpha 0, DXT3= alpha 1)

hmm, make an FMP of just the model + texture, then re-install fable, then try again(load the fmp and change the iron longsword mesh to the new one) That's the only thing I can think of (yes I have had to do this, and it works sometimes)

edit: make sure to keep the save-game though

it would work...it used to overwrite the obsidian katana but then i decieded to make it a new entry. so il try to make it work without overwriting anything.. il do wat u said if i really cant get it to work

Use an already existing sword as a base, change it's mesh to your new sword and then change the entry name. Then go into the CDefs and change the entry name of the CInventoryDef (witch should be nothing) to something else. Go into the the two text entrys and also change their entry names, and if you want there text. Do the same for every other CDef that you want changed, it's CWeaponDef, it's CStockItemDef, and it's CObjectAugmentationDef are common things in a weapon that you might want to change. Load all the entrys into an FMP and save it. DO NOT SAVE THE CHANGES! Instead, close and reopen FE and load the FMP. If you did it right, it should create brand new entrys (if you forgot to rename them, then they'd over write the old ones). This should make a weapon simular, yet not the same as it's base, and assuming you didn't mess it up, it should still work. Hope I helped.

On the Texture Entry, did you change the Alpha to 0? If you don't it'll automatically crash.
