I fixed the bridge.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=mfk4zelqpQs

overwrite the old tng with this one, and in userst.ini in the fable folder, change UseCompiledGlobalThings TRUE; to UseCompiledGlobalThings FALSE;

then just rename FinalAlbion.gtg in the levels folder to something like _FinalAlbion.gtg, or FinalAlbion[Backup].gtg or something, it doesn't matter as long as you know what it is and it's not what it used to be

How about, a new sign there that says something like, "Bridge down, path across leeds to Witchwood (or something else), you can support to have this bridge fixed, (Insert Money Amount). That'd be cool, then once you pay, you need to wait a couple in-game hours for it to be "built". Very Happy

I'm not sure you could "buy" the bridge up.

If you want to get a bit more involved, I'd recommend using a sign to call a cutscene, much like the Hero Balverine Transformation mod. You may want to talk to Marcopolo on this, but there should be a way to ask the hero if he wants to pay a specified amount of money, if yes, the amount of money is deducted from the hero, the bridge is "built" and the sign disappears. If no, nothing happens.

Maybe We could do something invovling chunks. Ya know the would chunks that are in the objects.

I dunno if its possible but possibly make one of the villager's axes a wood cutting axe. Make so that it can "open" trees and once the tree is cut maybe its just a stump if that is possible. I dont know if its possible to add this in but it would be similar to the digging spot and fishing spot how they can only be "opened" if you have the right tool.

But make it so that once you read the sign It asks you to bring wood chunks to help rebuild the bridge.

If none of that is possible. Maybe a quest about bandits destroying the bridge where you have to go raid their camp. Destroy there tents and shacks and take all there wood to help rebuild the bridge.

I am pretty shure your can make the tents and stuff destroyable since that is one of things they are doing with Conquest.

With the boulder issue its fine with me other people may not like it but i think its funny. One problem though it may just be me and my horrible luck but when i try to go to orchard farm using the bridge my hero gets stuck and cant move and the only way i can get out of Greatwood Lake is to use the guild seal.

P.S. Master Bankai thanks for puttting a quote of me in your sig it rteally is a great message to be spread but i was just trying to make a point. Now thanks to you we may get this message across the site! Use the search button and if you dont get it the first time Reword your Search!

Setup a dummy building to be bought. (like the exp stool I modified)

Have the Bridge object be an upgraded version of the house. That way it appears when you buy the fake house and upgrade it. Smile

I don't think there's anything really important in Conquest's Greatwood Lake. So I'll replace them with these.

It's not about it being hard or easy.
It's that we can't do it yet.

In theory, we can take the fresco_dome.lev/.tng, copy it, rename it to poo.lev/.tng, add the map to the .wld and change it's coords a bit so as to line it up with the original fresco_dome. I think it'd even show up in AE as well.

The problem is the stb. We don't have a way of adding the information needed to it to make our new map show up.

At least, as far as I know this is the case.
It'd be good to have someone second me on it though, or correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: The stb isn't even necessary to play. I'm sure there's something else keeping this from happening as well, else it'd have been done already.

The STB is the devil.

Think of it this way.

The LEV is the level mesh.
The STB is the level textures.

BUT, the STB is also storing all the grass and tree ID's, as well as simulating the swaying with the wind. It's pure crazyness.

Is the stb the only thing that's needed?
It doesn't make sense to me that you need the stb for new levels if Fable can be played without the stb.

I read a lot on this post, but not all of it.

I think that you could...

1.Put a sign saying "go around" or something and a pricce sign as well

2.This is a long one...
a.Make a quest called "Building a Birdge" or "The Loggers" etc.
b.preferably in Witchwood...Put up a merchant with about 100 chunks
of yew or oak wood, or maybe both for seperate quests.
c.Make the Chunks a high price
d.After all 100 chunks are bought, bring them to some NPC that
could be posted near the area
e.End quest with a small reward, maybe a wooden weapon (if possible)
and a "walk-on-able" bridge

3.Put the temple of Avo "Giving Well" there with some people from
Knothole Glade (they look like loggers to me). If you donate...
-100,000+ or whatever amount, the bridge is made
-75,000+ good alignment up (more), some weapon, and clothing
-50,000+ good alignment (med), some weapon (weaker)
-25,001+ good alignment (less)
-25,000- good alignment (1-15)

How do you install this?
You can take both files and import them into the FinalAlbion.wad archive using Fable Explorer.

Alternatively you can dump the contents of the FinalAlbion.wad and get individual levs and tngs that can easily be edited/replaced without importing/exporting via FE.

To learn how to do either, http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/theme/default/images/top_search.png Search. By searching, you learn to handle problems and answer questions on your own, rather than ask us a question we've heard n zillion times.

Welcome to the forum, my hopes are that you become a contributing member and a good addition to our regulars.

there are different ways you could install it, but the easiest way is to get this program, and then open it, and the program will "fix your modding environment" click yes or okay and then wait for it to finish.

Then, go to My Computer, double click on the C:/ drive, go to Program Files, then to Microsoft Games/Fable - The Lost Chapters/Data/Levels/FinalAlbion and then put the new greatwood lake files in that folder, and it should ask you to overwrite, click yes

-----
