clarification: you cannot make custom MESHES in FE, you need a 3d program

you CAN make weapons in FE, you'll just need to use an already-existing model

I use Autodesk 3DS Max, and it´s pretty useful.

Hmm... Death Magnetic or Black Ice? So hard to choose.

check your link before posting it, it's blender.org, not blender.com

While some of these programs are actually pretty good, the problem is compatibility. Some come with support for DirectX import and/or export, some need plugins for one or the other or both, some won't do it at all, so you may need to jump around programs a bit to get it to DirectX (example, exporting as obj from one app, using Blender to import as obj and export as DX). Still others may have weird formats that can only be used for that app. In any case, you'll need one that can do hierarchy and helpers if you want it to work in Fable, or if you're crafty you can do it like morerunes does here.

Edit: Also wanted to throw this out there, Fable is perhaps the most awful place to start the learning process, only get into this if you're really up to it.

My bad, I thought I posted .org. It's fixed now.
