Bug report: whenever you move something on the blue or red axis, it also moves slightly on the green, too.

Need more information, 'cause I can't get this to happen. What are you doing?

I was trying to position a lamp for my town, so I kept moving it up and down trying to get it at just the right spot, and is was moving the side slowly, but when i was moving the lamp up or down.

I divided by zero and survived.

The other executable is for x64 machines for the version available in the first post, don't use it. I think the later versions fix this, if not the one in the first post... don't know.

Anyway, have you tried the Vista basics? Are you running as admin? Do you have ownership of the files? Etc. and so on?

Yes, the newer version should have the x64 bug fixed.

Is the FinalAlbion.wad the original? 'Cause that straight crash bothers me.

If you can't get it to work, do it manually and go around the issue.

You can patch the levs on wad dump using FreeRoam. The new levs can go right over the old ones without any problems.

Yeah, I know. It's a bit of a pain really, but doing the undo/redo without doing it right is like shooting yourself in the leg and doing it right takes some effort... so I'd say it's unlikely.

Been off for a while, so this took some time, but I'll look into that. You're probably right too. Smile

And the request thing, but it seems a quite bit of work. Might not happen.

(You might have now noticed the request text to be missing. That's due to my mess up with the mod buttons. Sorry for that. Embarassed )

Found an xml issue. I fixed it for the FE thread, I noticed the FE def.xml doesn't work with CBox, so here's the CBox version.
Fixed the controls for CE30D4ED and 5800D39A, cutscenes. Wink

Edit: It just occurred to me that CBox will need to be changed to be able to edit modes 4 and 5. So... feature request? Smile
Only two entries use modes 4 and 5. 511 is one of them, I forget the other.

It works if you have the prereqs. It does. Last time I reformatted, I took the opportunity to try it out. Errors without prereqs, errors with some prereqs, works fine with all the prereqs. Prerequisites are listed in the first post with links to where to download them for your convenience - get them.

If you mean the requirements, I tried downloading the DirectX stuff, which I was sure I already had, and it didn't work... All the other stuff I had already downloaded.

Do it again to make sure that's not the problem.

I have been working with Chocolate box lately, I run Windows 7 64bit, I had a problem running it then I tried to use a compatibility mode. So if you have a problem try to run it in Windows XP Service pack 3 mode, it should be working afterwards.

I unfortunately have a problem. I sued to run this on my old pc running XP. Now i tried to run it again on my new pc running windows 7 64-bit. i downloaded the 64 .exe and the updates. i run it and it asks to fix my modding environment and i press yes, then it pops up and says "access to the path was denied" and then says "Modding environment is not OK. Application will not exit". does anyone know what could be wrong?

EDIT: Problem fixed thanks to IDontKnow

Vista issue. Delete the files in your virtual store, take ownership of the Program Files Directory, run ChocolateBox as admin.

Yo.

Played around with Cbox again. Checked to see if I could make it work properly again with VS 2010, etc, just for sh*ts and giggles. Here's a fresh build for x64. Try at your own risk. Feature wise it's pretty much as it was.

Go Fable Anniversary! Very Happy

No, at least not yet. It'd be quite the ambitious goal. But look, he's added support for trees. Being able to see where the trees are would definitely make working in CBox better. Who hasn't placed something only to find out in-game that all they have is a tree house? The finer details can't be seen in the screenshot, but I'm speculating that things smaller than trees will be there too. Foliage and such. Maybe down the line there will be support for adding, deleting and moving trees.

Very very true John. Anyway, I'm happy Baystone is twiddling around with this tool. Hopefully we get some new stuff popping up for chocobox Razz. By the way, npc navigation doesn't work on any tool right? I thought i remember hearing that it functions on AE, haven't tried it yet.. May be my imagination though..

Ohhh, STB crap... Thinking of extending c-box's powers to make new land?!?

Trees? Not quite yet. The tree in the screenshot is an object, and not "stb flora". The flora is getting there. Smile The boxes represent different LODs of flora I believe. The current problem is that I don't have the actual exact positions. So currently, any flora I put in the level appears pretty close, but not quite. Usually in the air, but I don't know why. Confused

As far as the terrain goes, I can extract the mesh from the STB, but putting that together in editable or even viewable form is a pain in the ass. Heh. If I'm going to do it, the editing that is, I'll probably just do an 'import terrain as an image' type of thing.

It's in CBox too, but it's a little... finicky, due the unknowns related to the navigation node data. I'm not actually sure if it's on by default, you might need to adjust the ini settings a little.

I have a few questions and I'm sure a lot of other people do too.

What is "stb flora"?
Is that a custom level?^^
What are "custom floats"?
What is STB?
What is "npc navigation"?
And lastly, can you spawn water???

LOL sorry for all the annoying noob questions. I know the stb is something about the terrain. You don't have to answer all of them, I just wanted to ask so someone could explain to the noobier people on the forum so they could join in on the convo Very Happy
