You still fight him in the town, but it'll be a little awkward...

why does noone listen!

everything to do with the chamber had been moved 300 into the air, therefore the jack battle is in the chamber, and damn high up in the air, nothing is different, well atleast nothing visible...

heh, quick question, does anyone here really care that much about framerate Rolling Eyes

i may have added something that might kinda make certain areas of the town a tad jittery...

so would you rather have cool stuff or good framerate?

As long as it's above (or around) 30, I'm ok. Just turn down your graphic settings a bit (lower resolution to 800X600, vertical sync off, no shadows, default or lower everything else [results will vary]).

Turning off vertical sync may result in frame tearing on some machines.

you could make a high-quality and a low-quality version, that way people with killer video cards can enjoy it to the full extent, and so can people with not-so-killer-video cards.

no no, make one really thin diagonal rectangle, and texture it to look like grass with a repeated texture

that would defeat the purpose...

the whole point is that the grass is 3d, it comes up from the flat green ground texture

with the grass
http://fable.pe-ell.net/gallery/albums/Marcopolos-Tests/10_17_2007_1_15_46_PM.jpg

this is what the little grassblades objects look like, from a kinda bad angle
http://fable.pe-ell.net/gallery/albums/Marcopolos-Tests/10_16_2007_9_04_51_PM.jpg

and this is a section of ground without grass, ignore the stuff farther away that does have grass
http://fable.pe-ell.net/gallery/albums/Marcopolos-Tests/10_14_2007_11_21_45_PM.jpg

another one with the grass
http://fable.pe-ell.net/gallery/albums/Marcopolos-Tests/10_16_2007_9_06_00_PM.jpg

now do you see what i mean?

yes, the grass loosens the soil, without it the soil would be too hard, therefore crushing the weak building foundations of that time, causing them all to break, and the shockwave will disrupt the tectonic plates, causing a catastrophic meltdown of your p.c. which will explode, cause your house to explode, causing a chain-reaction, so that the only thing left on earth will be cockroaches and twinkies.
