Is there a mod that lets me get the style card or style itself? Or is there a way I can try doing it myself without having to start a new game? If the second is the help I can get, could you explain how I can get it? I'm not a modder in anyway. =/

The style card is "OBJECT_BEARD_CARD_06". Spawn it in a chest or bookcase in the Guild.
To do that you need Albion Explorer or cbox. I prefer AE.
Get the tools and info you need here:

If you get FreeRoam working, and the tng files in the correct place,FinalAlbion folder, I will give you a script with the card that you can just add to the HeroGuildComplexInside tng file.

I have the folder and files, but I don't think freeroam is working. I can't seem to get over cliffs. Just acts as if there's a barricade (like normally does).

btw screenshot shows my levels folder. just in case there's something off in there.

You can't walk outside the circle of the minimap.
Download this file, copy all of the text, then open HeroGuildComplexInside and paste the text under "XXXSectionStart NULL;". It will put the hairstyle card you want into the bookcase in Maze's tower along with the 'History of the Guild' book.

That text is in the tng file itself. What I meant for you to do was go to the FinalAlbion folder, open it, then open the guidl tng. You can do it in AE as well though. With the world editor, open the guild, click on the green dot for the bookcase in Maze's tower, then highlight the text in the window at the bottom left for that bookcase. Now paste the text I gave you over that text, click apply changes, close and save changes. When you go to the guild in-game tab on that bookcase and it will give you the book again and the beard card.

I realized that a bit after I posted. Sorry abuot that. I did everything you asked, but instead of getting the style card, I got "Jack of Blades". The other bookcase did give me the history of the guild book, tho.

i think the problem has to do with that the books keep spawning no matter what.. i put back my orig heroguildcomplexinside file without your script and i took the two books then saved... when i reloaded (after doing a world save), the books were there again.

The Jack book is supposed to be there, you need it for the book quest. The guild book is useless, but I left it anyway. You should have gotten the book and card, try leaving the guild and coming back to see if you get the card.

When you replaced the script, did you 'apply changes'? Does the card show up in the bookcase script when you open AE?

I edited the tng file by putting your script under the XXXsectionstart null; line. Didn't use AE.

Then it should have worked. Don't know why it didn't. It might work in a new game, but you don't need to start a new game just for a card. You might try spawning a chest with the card in it. JohnDoe has a guide for that, I used it when I got start, because it is easy to understand.

I think I'm just not meant to have the chin beard. I used his example template and just erased all his spawns exact the first one and changed the name to the beard name. No chest in lookout point. =/

nvm it works! even your script. it was something really stupid. i forgot to delete the finalalbion.wad file. i only backed it up. i was reading up guides in the thread you posted and was like.. wait.. delete? i must have read over that too quickly when i was following the freeroam guide. i'm so sorry for the bother and thank you so much for your help. your patience certainly has helped.

Go back in your Levels folder and rename your FinalAlbion.wad

It doesn't matter what you rename it. You could even move it if you want, but renaming is quicker.

Then it will work.

yep. i deleted it since i backed it up in another folder. i realized while rereading a guide on installing freeroam. it was quite late by the time i was doing this and read over the part of the renaming/deleting.

Thanks are in order to DarkenedSoul then. That is not the kind of thing I think of, I installed my tools and Free Roam over a year ago now and don't remember what is involved.
It seems amazing now that I think of it that I have not have to reformat my computer in over a year. Probably just jinxed myself, lol.

Well, thanks are in order for the both of you. DarkenedSoul for pointing out my "OMG I'm an idiot" mistake. And jwc2200 for telling me the apps, giving me the script that were a part of my request and being patient with me since I'm really new to anything mod related.

Here's a screenie of my char with the beard to show that this was not all for naught. :>
