I have successfully downloaded and extracted FableExplorer, AlbionExplorer, ChocolateBox, ShadownetFE, ShadownetFE w/Sound, and various other attachments in the Tools forum. I can affirm that they all work.

Try clearing your browser cache and trying again. If the download was interrupted or something got mixed up during transfer, your browser might just be copying the busted version from the cache when you try to download it again.

I want to actually solve this problem for those who have this happen to them, so let's try and fix it.

Printscreen what happens when you take the files out of the .zip.

It's a weird error, let's see if it happens when you download from here.

The last post in the FE thread is a checklist of things you can try to get FE to run. If you get to the bottom and you still aren't able to get FE to run, you are just shit out of luck.

I know I'm missing something, there's another error or solution or something that can be tacked on to that, but I can't remember what it was... oh well.

I don't understand this, I have a major problem. I can't install any version of Fable Explorer on my computer at all. When I download the 4.1 Beta version, I unzip the file and my computer doesn't know what to do with it. There's not even a file extension on the end of it, it just says "file" in the description. I have one idea that just occured to me, but in the meantime if anyone sees this will they post some information? Please and thank you

You're not the first to report this problem, but I can't reproduce it. I've downloaded the tools, I've unpacked them, I've run them, all just right now. So it's most likely not a problem with the site and it most certainly is not a problem with the tools or the files.

Shucks... Sad All right, well if someone comes up with something let me know? I desperately want to insert mods into this game and from what I can tell that's not possible with fable explorer.

Update: For the hell of it,I decided to try and download Fable Explorer again via the .exe file. This time it worked perfectly, and the program is now installed on my computer. Why it didn't work the first time I don't know.

The executable? You mean one of the installers? If you used Satan's installer, uninstall and grab morerunes' installer instead. It's mostly up to date.
