I changed the default summon to maze and now I want to change it to something else but whenever I apply changes and run fable it still summons Maze, even though it's clearly edited in the spell. I am certain this is my default summon since Maze was set to that earlier, any idea why it's acting up?

If using Vista it could be that you need to delete virtual store. Or it could simply be the rank, make the creature you want have a higher rank in CSummon...def.

The rank is important but not the main issue. It's the default summon in the save, so regardless of whether or not it's the default summon in the files, Maze is the one that's going to show up.

Following the rules of the system, the only way to change the summon is to have the summon kill something with a higher rank. Or just start a new save.

It's not the rank since I tried making the boss dragon the default summon and there's no way in hell I'm starting a new save, this is a modding forum so there has to be some way to change something as simple as this... you can't conclude to starting again.

Your issue is not a modding issue, it's a save issue. The default summon is coded into your save, and no amount of modding is going to change that.

It goes in the save when you make a save, the default summon in the files determines what's going to go in the saves. Two different things altogether.

Also... Have you thought the possibility of changing SPECIAL_ABILITIES_SUMMON_SPELL_DEF at first and when you went to reedit it you tried to change NULLDEF_SPECIAL_ABILITIES_SUMMON_SPELL_DEF?
If you change the NULLDEF_SPECIAL_ABILITIES_SUMMON_SPELL_DEF it won't change the summon. (Just an idea.. Razz )

hehe ah sorry again. what I men was: when my summmoner killed another creature it transformed to that creatured it killed. BUT i fixed that to. Found Oldboys mod when I can just fight the summoner in the picnic park near lockpoint if thats right... Btw =) Im glad people are still here/ and answering me. I know its a old site, and i thought maybe everyone was like screw fable its an old game... But its still pretty good.. anyway sorry about how im trying to explain things. Just the way I am =P thanks btw. I maked a mod myself...Are you some admin on this site? if you are take a look and tell me if its ok.
