I installed chocolate box today and when i start it i get this error message. http://i.imgur.com/7qZ8v.png
I already followed JohnDoes prerequisites post and installed everything and this didn't fix my problem.. so im wonding if there is any other reason?

That HRESULT you got(0x8007007E), only comes up when you don't have all the prerequisites. You must have missed something, try getting them again. Rolling Eyes

Thats only 3, just different versions, there is no way that i need to install 18 different programs

Alright this is really beginning to anger me. I've installed DirectX EUR but i don't know what to do after. I just get like 40 different zip files out of it. Nothing gets installed. What is this!?!?

Okay, apparently you're doing something wrong. Remove your pre-requisites and try installing them again. Honestly you should have already had them a long time ago, unless of course you don't have automatic updates active like you should. Rolling Eyes

I don't know whats wrong. I have installed everything twice. I used to use ChocolateBox a long time ago and i never had to deal with any of this sheet.

Me either, i've tried 2 COMPUTERS with the " Prerequisites... " and still it won't work. WTF am i doing wrong? Here is my 2nd computer,

Okay for certain what i have is DirectX 9.0c, .NET 2.0+, MV C++ That is all right? then why am i still getting the error? it says for those of you who still get errors, install DirectX runtimes. Which my computer wont let me. It waits until the end of the install just to tell me, We're sorry, but this programs logo could not be verified blah blah blah.

About halfway through the installation process of .NET 3.5, i get an installation error. Could this have been caused by my internet being up?

.NET is a pain in the butt. I get errors with it a lot when installing. Your best bet is to uninstall all .net versions and install the last version before 4.0 (I think it was 3.5). I think 4.0 broke some stuff.

I don't have 4.0 on my current computer, just 2.0. Should i just attempt to install it again?
