.NET Framework. And it will help if you tell us when/where you get this error and what the error says. It was most likely some exception catcher, a friendly "hey, this is about to crash, thought I should let you know before it happens".

This calls for a CAppearanceDef edit. Simple stuff, search for it. Use Silverback's CAppearanceDef Sucks tool if you're uncomfortable with hex editing it yourself. The idea is to replace the animation IDs for jogging with those for walking. I think we even have a mod out there already for this.
